Presently, I am serving as the Chairperson of the LaSalle PRIDE, Incorporated community organization. The organization resides in the Eastern most margin of the City of Niagara Falls, New York. Until 1927 this area was known as the Village of LaSalle, getting its name from the French Explorer Rene-Robert Cavalier Sieur de LaSalle who built the first ship on the Upper Great Lakes at Cayuga Creek and the Little Niagara River in 1679.
Our organization is incorporated in the State of New York as a 501c(3) not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promote, protect and preserve the cultural, historic and environmental well being of the LaSalle neighborhood of Niagara Falls by the resource utilization of volunteers and private and public sectors.
My term of service as chairperson is from October 1, 2011 through September 30th 2012. I am a retired automation engineer with a BA from Empire State College in 1992 concentrating in computer technology and design. I use Ubuntu Linux 10.04 as the operating system on my desktop computer and only use Microsoft Windows operating systems when I absolutely have to as dual boots on my notebook computers.
