Where 2 Fish: The Forecast (for Fishing) is Great

First Class Bass Charters Lake Erie Fishing Report

Fishing forecast for the holiday weekend looks great.  Hope the weather is as good as the fishing will be.

  • Smallmouth bass:  Fishing is still hot and the size of the fish is getting bigger.  Live bait has been working well.  Try fishing a crayfish or a leech on a 3-way rig.

  • Areas to fish are Waverly Shoals to the old pier on the Canadian side.  This has been real good for the past month.  The Round House has been a good area for fishing.  Try drifting on each side of the building.  Seneca Shoals has also seen its share of good smallmouth.  Fish to the west of the buoy.  Look  for the drop offs in 32' & 40' of water.

50 States. 50 Weeks. 50 Years Old: Western New York Native Takes on Ultimate Marathon

When people turn 50, they usually throw a huge party, or treat themselves to a vacation getaway or new car. But David Miller, 49, has much bigger plans: a trip to each of the 50 states -- on bike.

His expedition, titled "Bike 50 at 50," consists of him taking a year-long (50-week) bike ride through each of the 48 contingent states, as well as Hawaii and Alaska the day after his 50th birthday, to help raise money for four different charities. He will travel for six days a week, biking about 70 to 80 miles a day.
