Deputies Investigating Deadly Pendleton Accident
PENDLETON, NY - One person is dead after a car crashed into a truck late Tuesday night.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, around 9:00pm, a truck was backing into a driveway on Bear Ridge Road. At the same time, it was struck by a car.
Investigators say Nathan Morris, 29, of Pendleton was backing a trailer into a driveway on Bear Ridge Road when Frank Panepento, Jr., 60, hit Morris' vehicle. Panepento, Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.
Morris was arrested and charged with DWI and for having an unregistered trailer.
The accident is still under investigation and more charges may be pending.
