Cool Gel ’n Cap is Safe and Effective for Ear Infection Pain Relief

Cool Gel ’n Cap is Safe and Effective for Ear Infection Pain Relief

Cool Gel ’n Cap, a unique first aid cap for children developed right here in Western New York, can help relieve your child’s fear and discomfort from bumps and bruises, earaches, ear infections and headaches. In this week’s article, we’ll cover the topic of ear infections.

Each year, 25 million pediatric appointments in the United States are attributed to ear infections. Pain is the first clue that your child may have an ear infection. If your toddler is saying, “Mommy, my ear hurts,” or you see them tugging or holding their ear, it is likely that you will need to provide some ear infection pain relief.

Most young children will be cranky and restless when ear problems occur, even if they have no fever.

A Plethora of Eco-Friendly Events On Tap for Earth Day at Niagara University

A Plethora of Eco-Friendly Events On Tap for Earth Day at Niagara University

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day last April, The Princeton Review, in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council, published a comprehensive guidebook focused on institutions of higher education who demonstrated an above average commitment to sustainability in terms of campus infrastructure, activities and initiatives.

From the Buffalo-Niagara region, only Niagara University was included on that list of the country's most environmentally responsible colleges.

One year later, Niagara is making preparations to celebrate that distinction and, more importantly, inspire awareness for the Earth's natural environment by presenting over 20 eco-friendly exhibitions as part of Earth Day 2011.

At Niagara University’s Summer Academy 2011, high school students can get a jump on college credit. NU’s department of theater and fine arts will offer a theater appreciation course as part of the Academy from July 18 – 22 for students who will be high school juniors or seniors this fall.

“This is a great, easy and fun way for students who are interested in theater to earn three college credits in just one week,” said Terri Filips, associate professor of theater and fine arts. “They’ll participate in performance events, explore all aspects of theater, and attend live theater in Western New York.”

“Students will learn about theater from our performance and design/technology professors and guest artists,” Filips added. “Plus, the cost of attending is highly discounted. For commuter students, the rate is $595, which includes the course, meals and field trips.
