Niagara Falls Goes "Pink" for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The Buffalo Bills and local Breast Cancer Survivors along with the Western New York Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Kaleida Health, Delaware North Companies and Zeta Tau Alpha all gathered together in Niagara Falls, Ontario to “light the Falls pink” as part of the Billieve breast cancer awareness program.  Special guests at the Falls lighting included, Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson and wife Danielle, defensive tackle Kyle Williams and wife Jill and safety Bryan Scott and wife Quiana.

One out of eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. The Billieve campaign was designed as an awareness program to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s mission to save lives through early detection and to ultimately end breast cancer forever.

The pink illumination at Niagara Falls kicks off Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Merge Restaurant to Host Farm Sanctuary Fundraiser: Join the Farmy!

The above is a video of Gloria. Gloria was rescued by Farm Sanctuary, and was a victim of severe neglect. For the first 8 years of her life she lived at a racetrack to calm the horses. She was tied to a wall, with no room to walk, roam, or really move at all, and she had no contact with any animals, other than being able to see them move about, as she remained tied. Gloria didn't know how to be a goat, she had never been allowed to prior to coming home to Farm Sanctuary, and as you can see, she can certainly play now!
