Sheriff’s Office Open House This Saturday | Events
A Statement Released by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office
Sheriff James R. Voutour welcomes the public to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office for an Open House on May 19, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
This event is held in conjunction with Police Week, which runs from May 13 – 19, commences with an opening ceremony featuring the Niagara County Sheriff ’s Office Honor Guard presenting the colors and an introduction by Sheriff James R. Voutour. There will be tours of the Niagara County Correctional Facility and Communication Center. Also included will be numerous vehicle displays, including the helicopter, boats, ATV’s and snowmobiles.
The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office specialty teams will be doing demonstrations during the event. These include the Emergency Response Team (ERT), Corrections Emergency Response Team (CERT) and the K-9 unit. Anyone wishing to have their child restraint inspected can visit the Public Safety Training Facility, 5574 Niagara Street Extension during these hours.
In addition, the American Red Cross will be holding a blood drive \at the Public Safety Training Facility from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Food and beverages will be available to purchase.
