A huge lineup of professional athletes — including several Hall of Famers and members of the Buffalo Bills, Braves and Sabres — are scheduled to appear at the Sports Collectors Expo Feb. 18 and 19 in Batavia. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Batavia Downs Gaming Center, 8315 Park Road, Batavia.

Scheduled to appear on Saturday, Feb. 18, are:
NBA: Adrian Dantley, Gar Heard and Bob Weiss of the Buffalo Braves.
NHL: Dave “The Hammer” Schultz, Clark Gillies, Bob Sauve, Don Edwards, Clint Malarchuk, Gerry Meehan, Phil Myre, Don Luce, Craig Ramsay, Grant Ledyard.
MLB: Denny McLain, Kevin Mitchell.
NFL: Lawrence Taylor, James Harris.
Also appearing is Herman Boone, the former high school football coach most famous for coaching at T. C. Williams High School in Alexandria, Virginia. Boone was portrayed by Denzel Washington in the 2000 film “Remember the Titans.”

Scheduled to appear on Sunday, Feb. 19, are:
NFL: James Lofton, Bruce Smith, Andre Reed, Steve Tasker, Billy Shaw, Don Beebe, Scott Norwood, Ray Bentley, Mary Levy, Joe DeLamielleure.
NHL: The Hanson Brothers, stars of the movie “Slap Shot.”
MLB: Kevin Mitchell.

Admission to the event, which will also feature numerous sports card and memorabilia dealers from across the country, is just $8. Children under age 10 will be admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult. Individuals 18 and older will receive $7 in free play for the casino with the purchase of a ticket to the Sports Collectors Expo, plus a $3 coupon toward a food purchase. Additionally, paid admission will include one free autograph from Ledyard and Bentley.

James Spence Authentication, the industry leader in autograph authentication, will be authenticating at the show, while Kevin Campbell Signature Photography will be offering photo opportunities with the athletes.
