Brookins Inn and Suites Honors Veterans with Free Rooms for Veteran's Day

Each year, the Bed and Breakfast industry honors the sacrifices made by our courageous vets by offering free rooms on, or around, Veteran’s Day. This year, Brookins Inn and Suites is proud to once again take part in the B&B’s for Vets program, by offering a free, one-night stay in all the rooms with continental breakfast to these heroes.

To date nearly 500 inns and B&Bs have signed up to participate in the B&B’s for Vets program in the U.S. with an additional 215 offers from Canadian innkeepers, and more are being added each day. Organizers expect to surpass the xxx participating inns that joined in the program in 2012. For a complete list of participating inns and B&Bs, visit http://www.bnbsforvets.org for participating inns in the U.S. and http://www.bbcanada.com/bbforvets for participating Canadian B&Bs.

“We could not be more thrilled to help our courageous veterans enjoy a relaxing day and evening,” said Beverly Mandaville, owner of Brookins Inn and Suites in Newfane, N.Y. “These veterans have sacrificed so much for our country and we are glad to extend to them a free night at our inn.”

The B&Bs for Vets program started in 2008 when Kathleen Panek, co-owner of the Gillum House, and a handful of other innkeepers in West Virginia opened their doors to veterans in honor of Veteran's Day. The Professional Association of Innkeepers International now coordinates the B&Bs for Vets program in conjunction with BBCanada.com to thank veterans and introduce them to today's B&B experience.
