Lancaster native Phillip Schulte has always loved the great outdoors. The avid fly fisherman and outdoorsman also happens to be a very talented artist specializing in acrylic painting. And now, his two passions have come together with the release of five prints — and the results are truly stunning.

The five acrylic painting available as prints include a peregrine falcon, steelhead trout, cheetah, grizzly bears and a Kestrel falcon. Additional wildlife prints will be available in the near future.

Schulte has an impressive artistic background, having earned an associate’s degree in commercial arts and advertising from Genesee Community College and a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Buffalo State College. He worked as a graphic design supervisor for the creative services department of The Buffalo News for 14 years and currently teaches acrylic painting classes at Enjoy The Journey Art Gallery in West Seneca.

Schulte’s wildlife prints are available in the following sizes: Peregrine falcon, 8x12 and 16x24; steelhead trout, 10x12 and 16x20; cheetah, 9x15 and 18x30; grizzly bears, 11x14; and Kestrel falcon, 11x14. The limited-edition prints are signed by the artist and numbered, and were professionally printed by Russell’s Atelier, Inc. of West Seneca. Framing is available upon request.

Prints are currently available at Enjoy The Journey Art Gallery, 1168 Orchard Park Road, West Seneca, and Colville Outfitters & Custom Tackle, 4475 Lakeshore Road, Hamburg.
