The Kenan Center and First Presbyterian Church of Lockport are proud to present author, speaker and independent scholar of American religion and culture, Diana Butler Bass, November 5 as the featured lecturer in the 3rd annual Kenan Speaker Series. The event will take place at 3:00 p.m. in the Kenan Center Taylor Theater, 433 Locust Street, Lockport, with a reception and booksigning to follow in the Kenan House.

Advance tickets are $10 general public; $5 for students and can be purchased online at www.kenancenter.org, or at the Kenan Center Business Office. To charge by phone, call 433-2617. Seats at the door, if available, will be $12 general/$7 students.

Dr. Butler Bass holds a Ph.D. in religious studies from Duke University and is the author of nine books, including Grounded: Finding God in the World—A Spiritual Revolution (HarperOne, 2015) and the widely influential Christianity After Religion: The End of Church and the Birth of a New Spiritual Awakening (HarperOne, 2012).

Dr. Butler Bass writes at The Huffington Post and The Washington Post and comments on religion, politics, and culture in the media including USA TODAY, Time, Newsweek, CBS, CNN, FOX, PBS, and NPR.
