Stairwell Sex Case

Niagara Falls, NY - A teenager who pled guilty to sexual misconduct in January will be sentenced this morning in Niagara Falls City Court.

The 17-year old, a Junior at the High School had faced charges of first-degree rape in connection with what Falls Police reported as an assault that occurred in a high school stairwell, while classes were in session last fall. The teen could receive up to six months in jail, and a possible fine of up to $500.

The teen was allowed to go back to school under terms of a modified court order of protection. He was granted youthful offender status. The victim's family agreed to a plea deal to spare the victim from testifying.
