Parent Network of WNY, Early Childhood Direction Center (ECDC) and People Inc. are proud to present distinguished national speaker Carol Stock Kranowitz, M.A. at the annual "Parents and Professionals Learning Together" Conference on April 7, 2011 at Lucarelli's Banquet Center, 1830 Abbott Road, Lackawanna, NY 14218  The conference will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m.  Ms. Kranowitz will present The Out of Sync Child: Understanding Sensory Processing Disorder.

Full-Day Conference- April 7, 2011 

Carol Stock Kranowitz will present a practical, dynamic workshop for parents and professionals on how to identify and support children of all ages with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD).  Topics to be discussed include:

  • The basics of SPD and how it may interfere with a child's ability to socialize, work, play and learn
  • Recognizing SPD in young children and making accommodations at school
  • Sensory-motor, Appropriate, Fun and Easy (SAFE) activities specifically designed to engage various sensory systems
  • Ideas for classroom, home and clinic to use with ALL children
