NU Live Music Series Line-Up Announced

Niagara University opens its 2010-2011 Live Music Series with four great shows.  All shows are held from 8 to 11 p.m. in the “Under the Taps” club in the Lower Level Gallagher Center. Admission is $5 at the door, and includes free pizza. Refreshments are also available. The community is welcome.

First up is Son of the Sun, with special guest Robots Are Thieves, on September 17. Band mates and friends Joseph Stocker (guitar, keyboards) and Zak Ward (lead vocals, guitar) released their first full-length album, The Happy Loss, in June. Staying true to their roots in what is described as “melodically detailed rock,” Son of the Sun piles on euphonic layers of textured harmonies with an added garage psychedelia that defines their sound so well.

Son of the Sun makes their first appearance at Niagara University to open the 2010-2011 Live Music season.
